The group, set up in August 2011 by Rebecca Jones, Cardiff Vales and Valleys Locality Development Manager for Rhondda Cynon Taff, is aimed at young people aged 16 - 25. The purpose of this group is to provide an environment where young people can feel comfortable to express themselves. They can talk about their sight loss with peers, participate in activities and not be afraid of having to be the only one needing extra help or guidance, and fundamentally to develop in confidence. As well as shopping and cinema trips the group is also keen to engage in the more adventurous activities such as rock climbing and rafting. The group is run monthly.
