Transcall
What is Transcall?
A door-to-door volunteer transport service run by Cardiff Institute for the Blind for the visually impaired people living within the counties of Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan.
What can the service be used for?
Social activities, hospital appointments and meetings, but not for work purposes.
When does the service operate?
Every day of the week up to 11pm.
Is there a charge?
Yes - £3.00 for every single journey up to 5 miles, and 50p per mile thereafter. (This is a donation towards the volunteer's expenses)
How do I contact the service and how much notice is needed?
By phoning Transcall on Cardiff (029) 2047 3573. We usually ask for two working days notice.
