Cowbridge Insight Club
A support Group for people who are losing or have lost their sight
The heart and purpose of The Cowbridge Insight Club is to help people through the trauma of sight loss by means of mutual support, and by encouraging them to retain or re-gain confidence and independance.
Our meetings provide each individual with the opportunity to talk on an equal basis with others who have faced a similar situation in their lives. It is a club run BY visually impaired FOR visually impaired people.
The Cowbridge Insight Club also has a social element. The members decide their own programme of activites. These events include Club Outings, Guest Speakers, Benefits Advice and Demonstrations which can greatly help towards independence.
Membership is FREE and our meetings are held in the Cowbridge Leisure Centre every other Wednesday from 10.30am – 12.30pm We have a selection of Aids, a CCTV and a loop system in place. We also have a direct link to the goods and services provided by the Cardiff Institute for the Blind.
